Is content on your website out of date?
Your site should always have the most updated information on it.
Does your website design looks dated?
Will visitors take you seriously if your site look as it is from about decade ago? Probably no. Because of this it is very important that you website looks professional and your visitors will enjoy using it.
Does your website do its job?
If your website provide some services, such as online store and you offer great products you should sell it. If your website don’t do its Job (selling products) you should invest to improve it.
Is your website responsive (mobile-optimized)?
With more and more Internet users using their mobiles it’s now important to have responsive website. If you cannot view your own website on your mobile device then it is most definitely time to give your website a makeover. You can also make Google Mobile-Friendly Test to get report if the page has a mobile-friendly design.
Does your website bring value to the visitors, is it possible to quickly find the information on the website?
If your site have poor navigation and visitors don’t find what they are looking for, they can quickly leave your site.
Is your website invisible to Search Engines?
If your website don’t show up on the first page of search results (e.g. Google), your website needs some serious search engine optimization (SEO).
Does your website have high Bounce Rate?
If you use analytics on your website, great! Check Bounce Rate. High bounce rate means that visitors can get a very bad first impression or they does not immediately find the information and they immediately leave the site.
Does your website take too long to load?
If your load time is anymore than 2 seconds, your website needs to be updated. You can check it with PageSpeed test.
Does visitor quickly find contact information?
There are only a few sites that do not need contact information. If contact data on your website are not available, think about it. Are they really not necessary?
If most of your answers convinced to consider a redesign and now you know that your site is not in the best condition, it is great time to invest in your website makeover.
